  Can losing faith in God be a disfellowshipping offense?

  i have been pondering this question for awhile.

  say a person during a shepherding visit with the elders were to simply state that they had lost their faith in god because of the subject of suffering-- would the elders still have grounds to disfellowship them even if the person did not actually commit a sinful offense?

  instead of diving into all the errors, false prophecies, and lies advanced by the organization can somebody simply say, "i have lost faith in jehovah" and walk away without being publically denounced?

  Probably not, it wasn't with me.

  I was considered "broken in spirit".

  However, if you came across as militantly atheist, that's a different story.

  well the book they use to conduct bible studies is already showing its age, and just like the changes they made to the live forever book they are doing it to the bible teach book as well.

  2) On page 81, paragraph 15, the 2nd sentence read: 'Satan caused Adam and Eve to sin, and that delayed the fulfillment of God's will for the earth but did not change it.'

  The more recent printings changes the word 'delayed' to 'affected'. The use of the term 'delayed' could afford Satan some measure of power and we can't have that. No one has power over Jehovah!

  This is why there really is no reasoning with someone whose critical thinking skills have been seriously damaged.

  Yucky thoughts like "God has been delayed by Satan" that irritate your worldview? Change some words around and VOILÁ: everything's okay now!

  i was informed by a witness that there was a "wonderful talk" at the sad this week.

  it was about a clear conscience as opposed to a clean conscience.

  a clear conscience is no proof of god's approval because one my not feel condemned by thier actions due to a faulty perspective.

  the july 15 study watchtower uses all 4 study articles to try to inculcate into every witnesses' mind that the governing body is indisputably god's sole channel of communication on earth.

  to do so, it uses a multitude of scriptures along with seriously flawed un-inspired reasoning.

  the foundation stone of this watchtower's blatant agenda is the claim that when jesus used only a few to dispense the physical food to the many, he was setting a principle which would be applied to the distribution of spiritual food after he returned to heaven.

  1.the organization itself denies access to reality and substitutes its own alternate reality of counterfeit "meaning".. a.only watchtower approved publications are worthwhile reading material.. b.no higher education is to be pursued.. c.no non-jw friends or associations are encouraged with their "outside" points of view.. d.no free-style questioning of doctrine or criticism permitted.

  curiousity is verboten.. e.threat of being "marked" or disassociated looms as an invisible gun aimed at members at every moment!.

  2.between every real-world event and the rank and file jw's mind is a roadblock.. a.the moment of identifying is short-circuited by an interpretive moment of re-labeling in watchtower-speak.. b.all things happening are forced into a narrow storyline and propagandized as end times happenings leading to armageddon.. 3.social and personal identity is expunged and replaced by a collective persona of "jehovah's witness".. a.private thinking is red-flagged as self-centered and sinful.. b.personal improvement, welfare and ambition is labeled repugnant.
